Volunteers Needed

The Brightshores Health System Owen Sound Foundation relies on volunteers who devote their time, energy, funds and talent to make an impact on care at Brightshores Health System Owen Sound Hospital. We are currently searching for the following volunteers:

Board Director 

The Board of directors guides Brightshores Owen Sound Foundation’s efforts to support healthcare in our region by funding equipment, renovations, staff training and research at Brightshores hospitals and facilities. Board members are selected based on experience and capabilities and in consideration of specific skills required. Candidates who are considering applying for a Board position should be:

• Committed advocates of the Owen Sound Hospital who will directly and indirectly support fundraising efforts.
• Community leaders who will inspire philanthropy and good governance of the Foundation.
• Willing to devote the time and energy necessary to perform the role of director, including time for monthly board meetings, committee meetings, attending Foundation events as well as stewarding donors.
• Capable of working positively and cooperatively with other directors and with Foundation staff.
• Willing to commit to a monthly or annual donation

Finance & Admin Committee Member 

The Finance & Admin Committee is responsible for reviewing and making recommendations to the Brightshores Owen Sound Foundation’s Board of Directors regarding financial and administrative decisions. The Finance & Admin Committee meets monthly. Financial and administrative experience is beneficial. Candidates who are considering applying for a Committee position should be:

• Committed advocates of the Owen Sound Hospital who will directly and indirectly support fundraising efforts.
• Community leaders who will inspire responsible financial and administrative practices of the Foundation.
• Willing to devote the time and energy necessary to perform the role of a committee member, including time for monthly committee meetings, attending Foundation events as well as stewarding donors.
• Capable of working positively and cooperatively with other committee members and with Foundation staff.
