Boston Pizza Restaurant

Owen Sound’s Boston Pizza Restaurant fundraises on annual basis to support the Boston Pizza Foundation Future Prospects program.  Each year the staff are able to choose a charity to donate a portion of the funds raised. Pictured here is Amy McKinnon, Executive Director OSRHF with Christina Goheen, Management – Boston Pizza. This year, Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation was selected as their charity of choice!  We couldn’t be more thrilled!  Thank you Boston Pizza!

Knights of Columbus

Owen Sound #2092 and Port Elgin #6736 Knights of Columbus donated $2,200 in support of of breast pumps for new mothers in Grey Bruce who cannot afford one. Presenting the cheque are (l to r) Knights:  Bob Francis, John Danyluk, Dennis Solomon and Roland Green – Thompson. Foundation Executive Director, Amy McKinnon, second from the left, received their donation recently.

The Florence Nightingale Home Foundation

FNHF presented a $4,000 grant in support of a new Plum 360 IV infusion pump recently.  FNHF Secretary Treasurer, Margaret Lynn presents a cheque to Foundation Executive Director, Amy McKinnon.  The Foundation was formed in 1975 and since then has made 246 grants to hospitals across Ontario.

President, Carol Walko, left presents a $500 donation to Foundation Executive Director, Amy McKinnon in support of new IV & pain pumps for use throughout the hospital.

Golf Tournament for Mammography

In July, a golf tournament in support of the hospital’s Mammography program was held in Meaford.  $2,680 was raised in support of new equipment for the program!  Pictured left to right are: Barb Harron and Anne Robertson from Diagnostic Imaging at GBHS, Bev Reed, Marg Tirpkoff and Joan Jenson.

Markdale Rotary Club

Markdale Rotary hosted its 2017 Cross Country “SkiAround” in February with proceeds for Camp Quality and the GBHS Cancer Centre.  On June 20, Rotarians presented a gift of $6,500 to Cancer Centre Manager, Gail Elliott.

Radio for Oncology, 92.3 the Dock

Meredith Bond, News & Sports, Don Vail, Program Director, Jamie Hiembecker, Sales & Marketing Rebecca Dunphy, General Manager and Mark Hendrie, Announcer at 92.3 the Dock celebrate $32,210.10 raised at the conclusion of their Radio for Oncology radiothon.

This year the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation has been raising funds for three new microscopes and other Laboratory equipment used in the diagnosis of cancer and other disease.  The microscopes cost around $25,000 each.

Buckley Mortgage Broker – Mortgage Wellness

Gerard Buckley of Buckley Mortgage Broker of Mortgage Wellness is pictured presenting a cheque to OSRHF staff. The Buckley Mortgage Team are making a difference in our community by donating $200 from every mortgage brokered in Owen Sound and the surrounding area.
