First, I want to thank you for your past support of Brightshores Health System Owen Sound Hospital. I’ve been an orthopedic surgeon here for 16 years, and in that time we’ve dramatically increased the number of people we’ve helped in our community.

In my department, we’re performing more surgeries more efficiently, and wait times and recovery times have both improved. As a surgeon, it feels great to be able to say that. Our orthopedic surgery team will use it to first assess a patient’s joint (such as knee, hip, or shoulder) by pushing a small camera through a tiny incision. Then if cartilage damage or ligament tears are present, we can also use it to make repairs, in a way that’s as minimally invasive as possible.
